I've been working on my spring body after a winter of heavy lifting. I've made adjustments to my routine adding lighter weights for more reps. Slow protracted movements aimed at putting maximum stress on the muscles to fatigue them early in the workout forcing muscle growth.
I've also been stretching a lot to ensure muscle elongation which adds to the overall symmetry. My waist has gone from a 33 to a 31 and my abdominal area continues to get closer to what I want. Hard work but pays big dividends.

Did shoulders and some light arms tonight. Decided to hit shoulders pretty hard actually. Most people don't know but nice shoulders can help square off the chest when you're trying to get that chiseled well balanced chest. I do find something cool... I recently found out that someone I know has decided to dedicate himself to losing weight and he currently has a blog. I'm going to follow it if I can find it again...lol What's sad is it is how I started this.... I'm a bit retarded at times. OH well... shower power time.
Well today was a sprint day. If 3.5 miles can be called a sprint. I finished in 18:16 which was a PR for me. Afterwards I did some ab and core work. Hanging leg raises, crunches, and laying leg raises. I still have to hit the gym as today is arm day. I've never felt better in my life. Oh... I used cardio as a reason to eat buttermilk pancakes for breakfast. Was yummy!!! After my next protein shake I can think about what I'm going to prepare for dinner. I'm thinking tofu and mixed veggies. Also some beans raps would be good. I'll figure the order but I'm likely to do both.
Well I over slept so I have to cut my run from 6 to 3 miles this morning. I'm wondering if I should eat before I got because I'm really not that hungry. When I say eat I don't mean a big meal. I mean some quick carbs because I hate to run with that empty stomach feeling. That's the part about a fast metabolism nobody talks about, the fact you wake up hungry and pretty much stay that way all day (well in between meals that is). Wait, I'll eat an avocado and a piece of toast (no white bread or wheat with dunka doo in it. Forks over knives all day long. That should getter done.I wonder who reads these? I use to be interested in reading blogs but never really got around to it. This is actually my first experience trying to blog on the regular instead of getting pissed and using it as a means to anonymously go on written tirades about my day. I don't do that anymore because I don't get angry like that. I've finally found my place in the world and am navigating upwards. It's fun.... (insert fartknocker laugh) Yaaaaay!!!
For anyone interested, you can have great lean muscle and be a vegetarian... I do. Right now I'm 6'1" 192 pounds with right around 5% body fat. I stay between 5-6% at all times. Oh... I grew a beard. I'm shaving it eventually but I did grow one for the first time out of Duck Dynasty curiosity. Kill it!! Do Work!! Get fit. Also don't forget to exercise your brain by reading.
